When Matt Sever first moved to Austin, Texas, in the late 1990s, he juggled careers as a licensed electrician and a singer-songwriter, sometimes turning up at a gig in his day job garb. Hence he adopted the nom de musique, Matt the Electrician.

Over the years he's been able to concentrate solely on music and become a mainstay of the Austin music community. He drew on his artistic friendships in recording his most recent album, Doubles. One disc consists of  12 songs recorded with six other artists and originally released as two-sided CD "singles," the other disc of the same songs recorded with his regular band.

For this "Sunday Supper" session he brought two of his bandmates to perform songs from the album and tell us about his multiple careers.
