It's always nice to welcome a local hero to Studio A, especially when it's Regina Spektor.

This Russian-born musician, who grew up in the Bronx, was inducted into the Bronx Hall of Fame by Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. in May and New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio declared June 11, 2019 as “Regina Spektor Day." If that's not enough, beginning on June 20, Spektor settles in for a five-night Broadway residency at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. You can’t get more New York than that.

During this episode of FUV Live, the charming and talented Spektor catches us up on everything that’s been going on with her. She was also kind enough to play us a few songs on Studio A's piano.
