The Shreveport, Louisiana band Seratones is back with a second album called Power. It's smartly titled too; it's a powerful piece of art, focused on conquering one's own demons and embracing inner strength (and it's an FUV New Dig too).

A lot has changed since we last saw them for a 2016 FUV Live show at Rockwood Music Hall, celebrating their bluesy debut album, Get Gone. There was a significant lineup change as Seratones began exploring different sounds. Frontwoman AJ Haynes remained and began to explore psychedelic soul, funk and rock. Lyrically, she began tapping more into her own stories and realized that the more personal her writing got, the more deeply she was able to connect with people.

During this episode of FUV Live, I’ll talk with Haynes and bassist Adam Davis about their new creative process, and we’ll hear the whole band perform "Gotta Get To Know Ya," "Power," and "Over You."
