The Suffers: 2018

The Suffers of Houston, Texas, are legendary in their hometown for their Gulf Coast soul moxie. In fact, their 2018 album, Everything Here, is a perfect description of the group's vibrant sound. They also showcase a more serious side, like their reflection on Hurricane Harvey, the song "After the Storm."

FUV fell in love with the Suffers and frontwoman Kam Franklin's dynamic voice ages ago — they were part of our CMJ showcase back in 2015 — so it was great fun to welcome the group back to Studio A for some Texas magic.
