Listen in for our FUV Live show with The James Hunter Six, tonight at 9.

James Hunter often refers to himself as "an overnight success that's taken twenty years." He began with a group called Howlin' Wolf and the Vee Jays in 1986, and worked with Van Morrison in the '90s, but it wasn't until the release of his 2006 album People GonnaTalk that he really began to achieve recognition on his own. These days he and his band record and tour as the James Hunter Six, and their recent release Minute by Minute is a soulful extension of their classic R&B style of original compositions. They recently brought the party to an enthusiastic audience of WFUV Marquee Members at New York's City Winery, with dancing in the aisles and lots of smiles.
