Aloe Blacc has been a staple on WFUV for quite some time now. His breakthrough single "I Need a Dollar" is not only a radio station favorite, but one of our favorite membership drive anthems. He collaborated with the late Avicii on the mega-hit "Wake Me Up," which Blacc also co-wrote.  He also worked with hip hop producer Exile on a project called Emanon, and the pair released an album, Dystopia, a couple of years ago. And Blacc is a big Stevie Wonder fan too.

These days, the singer and songwriter has been busy working on new material for his fourth full length album, looking towards a fall release. The first single from that forthcoming record is called "Brooklyn in the Summer" — a perfect song for the season.

He'll play that single and an older song too during this episode of FUV Live.
