Sometimes there is as much beauty in the darkness as there is in the journey to the light. Listening to the new Dave Gahan and Soulsavers album, Angels & Ghosts, one is left comforted by the struggles of the everyday, feeling like there’s hope in the quest for something better. In their second collaboration together, Gahan and Soulsavers (Rich Machin and Ian Glover) have created an album that brings out the best in the human spirit and looks forward with positivity.

With a 10-piece line-up, their performance at MSR Studios in Midtown put forth an entrancing set of new songs and some band favorites. Hearing Gahan's voice in such an intimate space was an amazing contrast to the arenas he's used to playing with Depeche Mode.

Hear (and watch) the performance below, including my interview with Dave Gahan and Rich Machin.
