Pete Seeger’s 100th birthday would have been on May 3, 2019, so "Sunday Supper" honored Pete’s music and legacy earlier this month with an updated version of a 90-minute special I produced for his 90th birthday, in a two-part "Seeger Centennial."

On this special, some of his best-known songs via Seeger's own recordings and versions by other artists. Also, perspectives on his influence from admirers such as Joan Baez, Nancy Griffith, Roger McGuinn, Peter Yarrow, Noel Stookey, Judy Collins, Tom Paxton and many others. And Seeger himself in several interviews that I did with him over the years.

In the second half, I focus on the last few years of his career — including his appearances at Barack Obama’s inauguration and the 90th birthday tribute concert at Madison Square Garden — and also explore what Seeger says about his own legacy. The playlist includes Bruce Springsteen, Richard Shindell, the Mammals, Kim & Reggie Harris, and several performances by Seeger himself, including a rare live studio version of “Sailing Down My Golden River.”
