Searching for a cozy soundtrack for your end-of-year holidays? We've got you covered on WFUV.  Here's a lineup of special shows and programming changes, on 90.7 FM, streaming online (all times EST) from December 22-January 1.

Friday, December 22

Listen back to weekend shows via the Archives for up to two weeks.

  • 6pm- 9pm. - On The Whole Wide World, Delphine Blue ushers in the winter solstice with songs to wind down after getting through another year.
  • 9pm-midnight -  The Alternate Side - Russ Borris will sprinkle in just the right amount of holiday goodness to keep you from turning into a Scrooge.

Saturday, December 23

  • 6am-10am - FUV Music Mix with Janet Bardini 
  • 10am-1pm - FUV Music Mix with Delphine Blue
  • 1pm-4pmFUV Music Mix with Darren DeVivo
  • 4pm-8pm - On Mixed Bag, Don McGee has rounded up traditional Christmas carols and songs, but he'll also mix what he likes to call, "Songs not written as Christmas songs, but they could have been."
  • 8pm-11pm - FUV Music Mix with Benham Jones

Sunday, December 24

  • 8am-11am - Celebrate an Irish traditional Christmas with A Thousand Welcomes. Kathleen Biggins will play tunes "to get you dancing, carols to make you sing, and stories and recitations to put you in the spirit of the day." She'll play The Clancy Brothers, Cherish the Ladies, Enya, and have a look back at Christmas Eve in Ireland long ago.
  • 12pm-4pm - Ceol na nGael celebrates a Celtic Christmas with an afternoon of Irish Christmas favorites, including Cherish the Ladies, Seamus Egan, Mick Moloney, and many more.
  • 4pm-6pm - The Christmas Eve edition of Sunday Supper with John Platt will feature its annual festival of holiday songs, a mix of traditional carols, popular standards, and original songs by artists old and new.
  • 6pm-9pm - A Christmas Eve Cavalcade with Paul Cavalconte dips into the musical punch bowl with festive favorites (and a musical sampling of the Italian traditional "seven fishes") for the ride to and from, or at your holiday gathering.
  • 9pm-11pm FUV Mix with Benham Jones.
  • 11pm-midnight - UKNY with Kara Manning has a wintry mix for late night with mince pies, mulled wine, and songs for the solstice, Christmas Eve, and overall December contemplation.

Monday, December 25

  • Midnight-1:30am -  Midnight Mass from Fordham University Church
  • 4am-midnight - An all-day Home for the Holidays mix. Nothing but songs in the spirit of the season and Christmas (the DJs have the day off).

Saturday, December 30

  • 4pm-8pm - An end-of-year Mixed Bag as Don McGee plays some New Year's Eve-ready tunes, but also songs to relax with as 2023 winds down.

Sunday, December 31

  • 12pm-4pm - Ceol na nGael celebrates the end of 2023 with an afternoon of traditional Irish music. Keep an ear out for holiday tunes from Patrick Mangan, Lunasa, Screaming Orphans, and many more.
  • 4pm-6pm - For a New Year's Eve Sunday Supper, John Platt recaps some of his picks of best songs and albums of the year. He'll also remember some artists we lost in 2023.
  • 6pm-8pm - A Cavalcade New Year's Eve Champagne Toast with Paul Cavalconte invites listners to an early evening open house of party classics, just ahead of FUV's traditional non-stop New Year's Eve mix.
  • 8pm-2am - WFUV's New Year's Eve Party Mix - Headed out for a big bash? Hosting a dinner for a dozen friends? Partying in your pajamas at home? FUV has an all-dancing, all-partying farewell to the old year, welcoming 2024.

Monday, January 1

  • 6am-midnight - An FUV Music Mix with highlights throughout the day of live songs recorded at Holiday Cheer for FUV 2023 at the Beacon Theatre, featuring The Gaslight Anthem, Grace Potter, Iron & Wine and Thee Sacred Souls.
