Morning Brief: February 29

At long last, it's finally happened: Leo has won an Oscar. Leonardo DiCaprio took home the Academy Award for Best Actor last night for his role in the Revenant, an achievement he says he's dreamt off since he was four. Brie Larson was his counterpart, picking up the Oscar for Best Actress for Room. And in an upset, Spotlight won big with Best Picture. But none of these films swept the Oscars. That honor surprisingly belongs to Mad Mac: Fury Road, the post-apocalyptic action movie, which ended the night with six Academy Awards in design and production, the most awards of the evening.
