Morning Brief: March 17 2016

Yesterday Mayor Bill DeBlasio outlined a plan for New York City's first citywide ferry service. It is set to launch in the summer of 2017 and according to NBC News New York it will operate from 21 landings across the city for the price of a single subway ride by 2018. The city expects 4.6 million annual trips on the ferry. DeBlasio said that it'll be a commute like no other: "fresh air, harbor views and a fast ride on open water."
