FUV was enchanted by Say She She's "discodelic" sound from the start; their debut album Prism sparkled with songs like "Pink Roses," "Fortune Teller," and the title track. They are great live—and we asked them to open 2022's Holiday Cheer for FUV at the Beacon Theatre.

In June, Say She She joined us again to play an encore FUV Live show at Racket NYC in Chelsea, so that our Marquee Members could get to know this fast-rising, charismatic Brooklyn-based band even better.

It's a transatlantic trio: Nya Gazelle Brown (Washington D.C.), Piya Malik (London), and Sabrina Mileo Cunningham (New York) are longtime friends and their dreamy harmonies and dance moves were a joy to watch. Their backing band was incredibly tight too.

Before Say She She started their set, they told me about the origins of the band—a great New York story that you can easily picture when you hear them tell it, especially if you can hear your neighbors through the walls of your apartment building too.

Listen in the player above for the concert and conversation, check out FUV's Flickr for photos, and below, watch videos that capture that special Say She She magic.
