A familiar voice heard on a number of metropolitan New York radio stations, Janet Bardini returns to her broadcasting roots at WFUV as one of the station's weekend DJs on Saturday mornings from 6-10 a.m. As a Fordham University student, Janet began her radio career at 90.7 FM. From that early start at WFUV, she landed positions in the States and internationally.
In the Eighties, her first broadcasting job was running the London/New York office of Laser 558, the No. 1 offshore pirate radio station in Europe and the UK. Later, as music director and midday air personality at WXPS 107.1FM in White Plains, Janet was instrumental in developing a new radio format with her staff, called Adult Album Alternative, a forerunner of the popular AAA programming format that now thrives at many NPR stations.
Janet went on to rock the mic as both a Shadow Traffic reporter for Z100 and a weekend air personality at Q104.3. She was also heard on Sirius XM radio. When she's not playing music, you can find Janet wearing her labcoat and treating patients as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in her Manhattan and Bronx clinics.
A native New Yorker and world traveler, Janet is proud to say that she lives in Harlem and leaves her heart in London town.
