Willie Nile grew up in Buffalo, came to New York City's Greenwich Village in the '70s and never left. His first album came out in 1980 and I've been playing his songs on the radio ever since. Surviving the ups and downs and changes of trying to make a living while making music hasn't always been easy, but Willie's determination and talent have never wavered. His latest album is American Ride and we had a great evening at New York's City Winery recently as he shared some new songs and long-time favorites for an enthusiastic group of WFUV marquee members and loyal Willie fans.
