Tonight On the Whole Wide World: Honoring Disco's Legacy

by Marisa Frydman
A A

Happy Friday evening, the Whole Wide World has a hip show tonight with a great beat to dance to. As you may have heard, Steve Rubell, co-owner of the former legendary Studio 54, is auctioning off priceless memorabilia from the decade of disco this weekend. To honor the great music of that era, Rita will be spinning disco favorites throughout the show. Listen in for your favorite Studio 54 tunes. Also joining us tonight, up-and-coming British soul singer Jessie Ware will be joining WFUV's Kara Manning in the studio for her first radio interview as well as an exclusive performance. Listen in for some wonderful songs from other great singers hailing from the UK such as Duffy, Rumer, and Florence & the Machine.

Tune in for the Whole Wide World with Rita Houston tonight and every Friday night from 7-10pm on 90.7 FM or online at wfuv.org. Miss a show? Be sure to explore past broadcasts in the WFUV Archives.
