UKNY On FUV For January 11

by Kara Manning

There are a lot of fine British albums scheduled to come out this winter and tonight on UKNY on FUV at 11, a taste of upcoming and recently released albums from Bombay Bicycle Club, Wild Beasts (pictured), Burial, Patterns, Jimi Goodwin (of Doves) and Snowbird, the new Anglo-American duo of Simon Raymonde, ex of Cocteau Twins, and Stephanie Dosen.

The Commonwealth Cut comes from a band based in frozen Manitoba, a province that reached weather infamy recently by matching Mars in dramatically subzero temperatures.

That's UKNY, Saturday nights at 11p.m. EDT, following Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight"® and Marshall Crenshaw's "The Bottomless Pit" on 90.7 WFUV, also streaming online.

Missed the show? You can find UKNY in the FUV archives up to two weeks after broadcast.
