Brooklyn Residents Rally To Keep East New York A 'Wal-Mart Free Zone'

Community members and elected officials rallied at City Hall Tuesday.

Residents of Brooklyn's East New York neighborhood demanded that Wal-Mart stay out of the community.

Critics of the massive "big box" chain are saying the retail giant has a history of underpaying workers and taking business away from smaller companies.

City councilman Charles Barron was among the retailer's critics, describing it as "bad business for the city". Despite community protest, Mayor Bloomberg has expressed support for Wal-Mart's plans to open in New York.
