For patient admirers of the dreamy, dense tides of shoegaze, 2017 was a stunning year, featuring the long overdue studio return of three of the genre's most iconic bands: Ride, the Jesus and Mary Chain, and Slowdive. On UKNY at 11, a session with Slowdive, and a discussion with Rachel Goswell and Chritian Savill about the group's first new album in 22 years, an eponymous release that marks a new chapter in the influential quintet's story.

We'll also hear from Ride and the Reid brothers, plus new releases from Spector, Wolf Alice and Shopping too.

Too overwhelmed by the holidays? Catch up to UKNY and all of our specialty shows in the FUV Weekend Archives immediately after broadcast.
