Tracey Thorn cheekily describes herself as a singer, gardener, and bedsit disco queen and tonight on UKNY at 11, another track from her forthcoming album, the luminous Record. It's Thorn's first collection of original songs in eight years, which finds her tumbling back onto the dance floor with wit and bite.

Also, releases from Leeds' mind-bending Hookworms, Icelandic teenage sensations Between Mountains, London's explosive Goat Girl, and Peckham's Amaroun, who brings jazzy, wistful underpinnings to her gentle songs.

And we'll remember gifted, Oscar-nominated, Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson who suddenly passed away last weekend in Berlin, leaving behind bereft fans of his progressive, expressive, achingly beautiful music, some of which graced films like "Arrival" and "The Theory of Everything."

Out at FUV's dance party or at home watching the Winter Olympics? You can catch up to UKNY at anytime on demand in the Weekend Archives.
