I've been down in Austin, Texas covering SXSW for FUV this week — and there's much to say about the past three days in future shows. Tonight's "UKNY" was prerecorded before I left and it features an especially lovely session with London folk rockers Bear's Den who have recently released two EPs, First Loves and White Magnolias.

Also, another song from Elbow's forthcoming Audio Vertigo, released this Friday, March 22. Bombay Bicycle Club plays Brooklyn Steel this Tuesday, March 19 and I'll get to another track from their excellent new EP, Fantasies, a collaboration that includes vocalists that they've worked with over the years.

London-based Victoria Canal, who played her first sets of the year at SXSW last week, continues her tour at Mercury Lounge on Thursday, March 21 — a songwriter whose beautiful and frank songs traverse love, loss, queerness and what it means to be a musician with a disability (she was born without her right forearm and hand, due to amniotic band syndrome).

New Ibibio Sound Machine and Soweto Gospel Choir x Groove Terminator too.

"UKNY," Sundays 11pm-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.

Songs played:
1. FUV Live session with Bear’s Den (includes live performances of “Evelyn,” “Loneliness,” and “Above the Clouds of Pompeii.”
