One of the most beautiful albums of last year was The Japanese House's second, called In the End It Always Does. On "UKNY" tonight at 11pm, a session in Studio A with Amber Bain, who records as The Japanese House, accompanied by Cicely Cotton on saxophone and piano. Amber plays three songs from her 2023 album, bringing an even deeper poignancy to her introspective lyrics. This coming week, highlights of the session will be featured on 90.7FM.

Also in tonight's mix, new releases from KOKOKO!, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Nadine Shah, who released her deeply personal fourth album, Filthy Underneath, last month. And a shimmering single from Jalen Ngonda, the American-born, UK-based singer and songwriter who draws from the past to bring light to the future.

All that and more on "UKNY," Sundays 11pm-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.
