Bio

Haroula Rose was raised in a music-loving Greek-American family in Chicago and was an English major at the University of Chicago. After spending a couple of years in Spain on a Fullbright fellowship, she settled in L.A., where she's connected with both the music and film community. Reflecting her literary side, Haroula's new album, 'Here the Blue River,' takes its title from a Ralph Waldo Emerson poem and includes a song, "Margo," inspired by a Bonnie Jo Campbell novel. Reflecting her film making side, she is working on a screenplay based on the song which she hopes to direct and star in.
